In January, Bryan Cheng makes his debut with the hr-Sinfonieorchester under the direction of Erina Yashima. He will perform Camille Saint-Saëns' Cello Concerto No. 1 in 3 concerts, on the 16. & 17. January at the hr-Sendesaal in Frankfurt am Main, as well as on the 18th of January at the Schlosstheater Fulda.
Bryan Cheng performs the European premiere of Mason Bates` Cello Concerto with the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Robert Moody on the 22. November. One week later, on the 29. November, Bryan Cheng and Robert Moody travel to Timisoara to perform the Romanian premiere of the same concerto with the "Banatul" Philharmonic Orchestra.
Bryan Cheng performs two recitals at the Wigmore Hall in London on Sunday, the 13th of October. Each year, through its festivals, masterclasses and other public events, the Kronberg Academy offers all-round musical training for exceptionally talented young string players. The results are on display on the 13th of October at the Wigmore Hall, when Bryan Cheng and some of the most promising artists of his generation, perform a wide range of pieces from the chamber repertoire. In the morning concert, starting 11:30, Bryan will perform Debussy's Cello Sonata, alongside Jérémie Moreau. In the evening, starting at 19:30, Bryan will perform Robert Schumann's Piano Trio No. 3 in G minor Op. 110, together with violinist Sarah Jégou-Sageman and pianist Enrico Pace.
